June 17, 2025 – Malvinas Argentinas Museum, Buenos Aires City
On June 17, 2025, the Malvinas Argentinas Museum, located in the Belgrano neighborhood (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires), hosted the Institutional Strengthening Conference organized by the Union of Reserve Officers of the Armed Forces (UNOR). The meeting brought together reserve officers, special guests and representatives of different institutions linked to national defense, with the aim of updating the organization's activities, sharing news and strengthening the bonds of camaraderie among its members.

A meeting of camaraderie and tribute
The day took place in a fraternal atmosphere, accompanied by an informal lunch of empanadas, drinks, and cafeteria service. The program included artistic highlights, with the participation of singer Ceci Gallardo, who offered a repertoire of Argentine folklore, and Ezequiel Montero Benítez, who performed a moving tango set. Ezequiel, a member of the Ordo Supremus Militaris Hierosolymitani (OSMTH) since 2011, shared his talent as an example of the fraternal and collaborative bond between UNOR and OSMTH, institutions united by their commitment to patriotic values, service, and solidarity.
Recognitions and tributes
One of the most significant moments was the distinction awarded to General Barreto of the Argentine Army, in recognition of his valuable support to the Pan-American Congress of Reserve Officers (UPORFA 2023). Tribute was also paid to the veterans of the Malvinas War, who received applause and respect from all those present for their heroism and sacrifice. Likewise, the recent promotion granted by President Javier Milei to the Reserve Officer Candidates (AOR) who fought in the Malvinas was highlighted, elevating them to the category of Reserve Officers, an act loaded with symbolism and historical justice.
UNOR and OSMTH: an alliance with historical roots
The Union of Reserve Officers of the Armed Forces (UNOR), founded in 1941, is an entity dedicated to bringing together reserve officers in Argentina, promoting their professional development and strengthening bonds of camaraderie. The Ordo Supremus Militaris Hierosolymitani Order (OSMTH) is an international organization of Christian inspiration, with a humanitarian mission and support for peace.
In Argentina, the OSMTH was born within the UNOR, as in the United States, where the Reserve Officers Association (ROA) was key in the creation of the Order in that country. This historical link is essential to understanding the shared identity of both institutions, which maintain a firm commitment to the values of honor, service, defense of human rights and work for the common good.
