On the weekend of October 4th and 5th, the Knights and Dames of OSMTH Argentina participated once again in the traditional Pilgrimage to Luján , providing support and accompaniment to the thousands of pilgrims who walked to the National Basilica.

Our Support Post No. 48, strategically located next to the Red Cross teams in Vicente Lopez, was one of the five posts that continued to provide assistance even after the strong storms that hit the early morning of the pilgrimage. Despite the inclement weather, the Templar commitment remained firm: thousands of glasses of fresh water, hot mate cocido, broth and sweets were offered, in addition to words of encouragement that comforted the walkers.

During the 24 hours of uninterrupted service, Knights, Dames, and volunteers participated, once again embodying the Templar spirit of service, brotherhood, and helping others.

International presence and fraternal spirit

This year, we were delighted to have the presence of Brothers and Sisters from other countries , who were in Argentina for the Grand Council of the Magisterium (GMC 2025) held in Buenos Aires. Many of them joined the Support Post and shared the experience with emotion, surprised by the warmth of the Argentine people and the magnitude of the pilgrimage. One of them summed up the experience with a phrase that filled us with pride:

“I’ve never been told ‘thank you’ so many times in one day in my entire life.”

A testimony of faith, service and perseverance

Post 48 was once again a meeting place for faith and action. There, amidst the fatigue, mud, and smiles, it was once again demonstrated that Templar service transcends borders, climate, and distance. We are deeply grateful to all those who contributed, both in person and through their donations , making this charitable work possible.

“Serving the pilgrim is serving the spirit. Every gesture of help, every word of encouragement, is a way of honoring our Templar oath.”
